do you know where these towers are?

stanley-beach-hong-kong

As you can see in this blog I am fascinated with high density structures around the world.  These ones once again are from somewhere in Hong-Kong island.  It is a bad quality image since it was taken from a commercial flight while traveling back to London. The plane took of from Lantau island overflying southern HK island and before reaching mainland.

I wonder if these towers are located in Stanley or Repulse Bay.   Wo bu zhidao!!!!  I wish somebody who reads this could tell me where is it.  Next time I go to Hong-Kong I will photograph those towers from below or perhaps from the top of the roof if the tenants allow me.  In fact, it will be thanks to you.  I really need your help this time!!!!

It was there on the asphalt of Hong-Kong.  100 meters away from the blue house I described on this blog.  I was going to the HMV record store to buy chinese pop music and photographed it.  It was my surprise that while walking to the record store I found a little temple in Wanchai where the actress Gong Li has a little sequence on this building in the movie the Chinese Box.  She portrays a woman called Vivian who goes to the temple after finding out that John, played by Jeremy Irons, will be dying soon.  This movie is a must see for those addicted to Hong-Kong as myself.

Transitory Cities is a lifetime photographic project by Manuel Alvarez-Diestro. He will be feeding the web map with images from all around the world.
The objective of Transitory Cities is to revitalize our visual appreciation of cities while we live transitory moments within them.
